ADVENTION 2016: CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The American Advertising Federation (AAF) Advention 2016: District 10 Convention planning committee is seeking presentation content that is relevant to advertising, communication, and marketing professionals. Sessions will be 60 minutes in length. Topic areas can include (but are not limited to):

  • Account Handling
  • Advertising
  • Communication
  • Community Engagement
  • Consumer Insights
  • Content Marketing
  • Creative
  • Direct Marketing
  • Graphic Design
  • Market Research
  • Media Planning
  • Mobile & Online Advertising
  • Public Relations
  • Social Media
  • Video
  • Website Design

 

Convention audience includes a wide array of advertising and marketing professionals, most belonging to an AAF club within AAF’s District 10. The district includes all AAF clubs in the state of Texas, and a handful in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Visit the District 10 website for a full list of clubs that may have members in attendance.

 

Proposal timeline

  • Proposal submissions collected in December and January
  • Proposals are due Friday, January 15
  • Presenters will be selected and notified by Friday, January 29
  • Final presentations to be submitted by Friday, April 8
  • Convention is April 14-16 in Lubbock, Texas

 

Speaker incentive includes free convention registration. Travel and accommodations remain the responsibility of speakers. In the event a speaker has registered for the convention before being notified of proposal acceptance, a refund will be issued.

We welcome speaking proposals from AAF members and non-members alike. Multiple proposals may be submitted by one speaker if desired. If you’re interested in presenting, please email a title and 50-100-word abstract of your presentation to  kelly.podzemny@ttu.edu.
